Our mission
We believe commerce is fundamentally social. People buy from people they trust, discover great things through the communities they belong to, and sell best when they can build a reputation over time. Our mission is to make that natural — to give everyone, from a first-time seller to an established shop, a place to trade, connect, and grow.
What we do
Social Market HQ is a single platform where social networking and category-based marketplaces come together. On it, people can:

- Open a shop and manage inventory as a business
- Post Buy Requests to tell sellers what they are looking for
- Trade directly through barter, with or without a cash top-up
- Share posts and short-lived stories to a social feed
- Follow people and businesses, and chat privately to arrange deals

Our story
Social Market HQ started from a simple observation: the places people go to be social and the places they go to buy and sell had drifted apart. Marketplaces felt anonymous and transactional; social feeds had no real way to close a deal. We set out to build one home for both — where following a seller, reading their reviews, messaging them, and buying from them all happen in the same place.
From day one we have engineered for scale and for trust, so the platform can grow to serve millions of people without losing the community feel that makes it work.
